Benefits of Membership
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. Anyone who loves our beaches can sign up to be a Surfrider Member. As a South Bay chapter member, in addition to receiving information from the national Surfrider Foundation office, you'll receive regular chapter newsletters and e-mails about ongoing local projects and activities.
Above all, you will be making a positive difference in the future of the waves, waters and beaches that nourish our lives day by day, year by year.
Being a Surfrider Member has its privileges. If you're a card-carrying, current Surfrider Foundation Member, then you are eligible to receive special Surfrider Membership discounts at many stores across the United States. Surfrider members can show their membership card in a growing list of shops, restaurants, and businesses (http://surfrider.org/retailers/) and receive a discount, promotion, or giveaway. Our goal is to give our members something extra for their membership support.
